Hello, everybody.

I have two minor issue with the subtitle display as it works now: With some of the anime files, the translators working on the project leave notes to one another in brackets {like these}. The WDTV displays these, instead of ignoring them as most video players do. While some of these notes are indeed enlightening or entertaining, they do take the viewer out of the show they were trying to watch. (To say nothing of the real estate they eat up on the screen.)

The other irritating quirk of the WDTV's subtitles are that multiple lines of text aren't supported. Example: Characters are speaking in the foreground while announcements in the background also need to be translated. The WDTV will randomly pick whichever line it can get to first, instead of displaying both on different parts of the screen.

Is there a way to make the subtitles truer to the way they're displayed on the computer?

Regarding the first, tell them to stop writing comments in the finished subs!
If you think there is something wrong with your WD device contact them and then act upon that: Either wait or move on - don't whine here - this is not WD's board. If you have a problem, start a thread and ask - perhaps someone knows the answer.

... or remove them yourself. Shouldn't be so hard to do.
Too much free time on my hands...
