My apologies if I am in the incorrect thread. I'm looking for some hints and tips on how to set up some wireless speakers. In order to avoid loudspeaker wire clutter, I've purchased a 5.8 GHz wireless speaker system for my surround loudspeakers. The transmitter connects to the surround receiver rear speaker outputs. Ordinarily the transmitter will go into stand by after a couple of minutes of not having acquired sound. However, my Audio-video receiver continues giving off a hum whilst in standby. This stops the cordless transmitter from entering standby. Consequently my rear speakers will continue sending out this humming noise while I am not watching television. I'm not sure if there are any good solutions for this specific dilemma. Possibly I will need to actually disconnect the receiver from power each time. Many thanks for offering suggestions.
