I one day sound stopped worked on my WD TV Live.

Firmware 1.05.04_V

I use HDMI, sound settings is on "digital pass-through". Tried on different TV, different HDMI cabel. Also tried to switch to composite - the same. Sound not working :smileysad: Anyone faced a similar problem?

I got the same problem here but only playing "mp4" format, but when I changed the sound to "stereo", it's worked.

Resurrecting an old post...

I have a WD TV Live tha twas working fine.  Sound was set up to pass through HDMI.  Then the sound just stopped working...like others I tried a new HDMI cable, changed the audio settings to stereo, updated firware, tried optical, and composite audio.  None worked.  I tried .mkv files and Netflix and neither play sound.  I think I've got a paperweight now.

Any thoughts?

I think I've got a paperweight now.
Do a complete power down by pressing the Remote Power button and count to 7, light on the unit will go out after 5secs.
Wait 10sec then press the Power button to switch on, unit will do a double boot and restart clean.
This is not doing a factory reset, it will not change the settings that you have setup.
