Will you post the link if you see it again? I searched the forum but I didn't find it.

If I will install this FW do I have to boot the WDTV with the PenDrive everytime? Does my WDTV works without booting with the Pendrive and I just don´t have access to the xxxx.bin installed in the Pendrive?

Thanks Rezmus, Zorander, B-Rad

I'm TOTALLY blown away at how good this FW is. With help I can even get massive WDTV improvement. I'm currently using ext3, I like the ability to just re-write root.bin to the pendrive. I'm going to try Rezmus' 1.02.08 right now.

Hello all. I just got my WDTV a few days ago. I have connected to my NAS (FreeNAS) via the ext3-boot fw and adapter. It works awesome. The only problem that I am having is that some of my movies on the NAS do not show in the list of movies. The only thing that I have been able to find that is different from the ones that do appear is the file size. All my movies are XVID (AVI) with DD. I have converted most of them myself using the same process for all. So they all have the same codecs, framerate, sample rate, etc. I converted them anywhere from 1.5GB to 2.9GB in size depending on the movie length. I did this to keep the quality up.

So what I have realized is that none of the movies that are bigger than 2GB in size show in the list. The strange thing is that it shows the total amount of movies on my NAS correctly but not all of them are listed.

Has anyone else had this problem?  Any ideas?

Thanks

First off, it would have been better to have started a new thread.

I don't use FreeNAS, but how have you set up your shares on FreeNAS?  NFS, UPnP, SMB, other?

If you're using NFS version 2, that has a filesize limit of 2GB.

Yeah I wasn't sure where I should post the question.

I am using CIFS/SMB. I cannot figure out if it is a problem with the ext3-boot fw or with the server.  If I can determine that then I would know what to focus on.  I can see and play all files on my windoze and linux computers on the network.  I just cannot see the large ones on the WDTV.
Thanks for any help.
