I don't recall seeing that it can be done even in custom firmware....

Nope, not sure but I can't recall ever seeing it anywhere.  I am sure some more knowledgeable members will chime in and confirm or deny.

BTW, I also don't recall ever seeing this on my WDTV Live.  If I play multiple movies it just plays them one after the other without the info bar ever being visible.

Yeah.  But neither one (top or bottom) show up.  Maybe it's because I've been running custom firmware for so long I don't remember....

But I don't see it.  AMOF it is kind of confusing when it jumps from 1 show to the next without the slightest notice.

It doesn't really matter but I would install the latest factory firmware and see what it has to offer.  Then upgrad to custom firmware 1.02.21 WDLXTV 0.4.5.3

From there you can boot with the EXT3-Boot version of 1.03.* WDLXTV 0.4.5.3.  This EXT3-boot is not a flash and requires a flashed version on the box first.  This way you can see what all 3 have to offer and decide on which you will keep.

I stayed with 1.02.21 ***** because I feel this is the one that best fills my needs.
