I currently using the stock firmware but I'm curious if the latest b-rad firmware can do what I'm hoping to do.  I currently share out a number of folders which contain movies and TV shows.  The standard firmware has no problem seeing these folders but I can't figure out a way to limit access to only certain folders.  What it boils down to is that I am thinking of setting up a WDTV Live box for my daughter but I don't want her to have access to folders which are "adult" in nature. :)

Would the b-rad firmware allow me to limit folders at all?  I want my WDTV live to be able to see folders X, Y and Z but I only want her WDTV Live to only see Y and Z, not X.

Thanks in advance.

Just password protect your "adult" shares....
and leave the others "open"

Also, clear all login information from the WDTV menu,
and set the Autologin option to off

Like that whenever someone tries to access a share, it will prompt for a username / password...
for the "open" , shares, just press ok....
for the others, just enter you username / password you setup when creating the share...
