Hi, I recently downloaded the newest episode of Modern Family: http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/5848531/Modern.Family.S02E01.720p.HDTV.x264-IMMERSE

When I watched it off of my WDTV it played flawlessly, but with subtitles...

The Video was crisp and clear, and the Audio was in sync.

I used MKVToolNix to take the subtitles off, and now it won't play on my WDTV...

I also downloaded the following: http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/5647773/Modern.Family.S01.Complete.720p.WEBDL.x264-HD

I removed the russian audio tracks and the subtitles also by using: MKVToolNix.

It plays off of my PC just fine...but does not play off of my WDTV...

Is there a better program to remove subtitles and audio tracks off of MKV files that is compatible with WDTV?  Or a better custom firmware to make MKV files compatible with WDTV?

I am currently running firmware version 1.03.01.

Thanks

You re-muxed it with version 4.x.x of mkvmerge.

Version 4.1.x of mkvmerge turns on header compression for the audio track, by default.

Version 4.2.x or higher of mkvmerge turns on header compression for both the audio and the video track, by default.

WDTV can't play compressed header Matroska files.

You need to set Compression OFF for both the audio and the video track (under "Extra Options") before you re-mux.

Today, I installed the béta firmware version wdtvlive_1.03.42_V and this solved the .MVK problems I had with some .MKV files.
