Does anyone have a solution to bookmarking a point in a video?

I know there is a feature where you can skip ahead by 10minutes while FF or REW, but i was wondering if there was another way to either set a bookmark - or ideally - simply jump ahead to a certain HH:MM:SS spot in a file being played back.

Scenario would be that instead of relying on resume (which doesnt work if you disconnect the drive) you can use a bookmark or a manual "jump to this minute" in a MKV or other video when you want to pick up watching it from where you left off. In my case i use this on DVD players a bit and seems like a useful feature to have. I have not been able to find anything like that on the current 02.03beta firmware so apologies if i missed something or need to RTFM.

I know chapters are there for similar functions but not all chapters work or are readable on file types and i do not want to mux or convert files just for this.
