In the video menu now the thumbnails are bigger (162x230).

In this file zip you have the .bin files based on Zorander's ext3-boot-0.9.2 (official 1.02.07), the modified xml and the new icons.

Sorry for my english, as you can see in the home menu I'm Spanish. Grin

Sorry, but I tried to use that app with ext3-boot and It doesn't work, when integrate my mod on b-rad's firmware I will make the sreenshots.

Hola! Yes It is compatible, but I need to be able to change the files inside the .bin, I can mount the .bin, but the files are "read only" and when I copy them to a folder with the necessary permissions I don't know how to re-do the .bin.

I need b-rad's help, or someone who knows how to change the files and re-do the .bin (using linux of course  Wink)

Thank you! I think It's a KDE background but I found It searching backgrounds in google...  Grin

Thank you!

Well the proper way to do it is the following:

  • copy the entire osd directory somewhere
  • modify the couple xml files
  • change the images
  • make a cramfs image of the osd directory into juliiojs.osd.bin
  • distribute

then anyone, with any distro places your *.osd.bin onto a device at boot and they're presented with your theme.

Ok, thank you!

But the people is asking me to view my mod without a pen connected. Could I edit the files in another folder with the write permissions and make a full firmware .bin?

Is correct this command to do the .bin?:

Code:
mkcramfs folder wdtv.bin

Is it any (more) brick posibilities flashing WDHDTV with this .bin?

Thank you!!

is it also working on a english wdtv box? because in the zip there are folders like "Archivos/imagenes"
or are they only for your bin?

Yes it will work perfectly in a english WDTV, the only "problem" is that the video menu title is "Vídeo" with "í"...

The "Archivos" folder is only for developers who want to see the xml or image files without mount the .bin

http://b-rad.cc/juliojs-osd.app.bin

this is an example of a dynamic, memory loaded theme. Since theres only a few xml files & some small images you can do this no problem.

What it means is once its loaded you may remove the device containing the theme and it will persist when you use the power button on the remote. The theme lasts until you power cycle / reboot your wdtv.

I like the larger icons on the home screen.
