If you have hundreds of video files like I do WDTV gets clumsy searching for a specifc title. What I did was create 26 alphabet folders like:

A
B
C
D
E
F
.
.
.

I then cut out groups of videos that began with each letter and moved them to these alphabet folders. Now if I am searching for a video who's name begins with D, I just quickly go to the D folder and find the video there. This seems much faster than any other way that I have tried.

Be sure to MOVE not COPY the groups of files to the alphabet folders and the operation should go instantly.

Hope this speeds things up for you too.

No playlists here.

I play files on my old WDTV V1 and on the media player built inside my new Samsung LED TV. Alphabet folders work with both players just alike.
