They are Thumbgen profiles. They just make sure all the sheets end up in the correct places on your drive.

You don't need to use them, they just make it a little easier for the newbies.

@ lstar337

I would like to. ;)

I have thought about incorporating trailers into the screen shot box and a few other ideas.

Sadly I have to wait until it is released just like everybody else, I don't have a beta copy or anything.

I also have no idea what is involved, it could be beyond my capability!

The best I can do is wait until I have a version set up and see what I can do with it!

Lstar337's Split-Sheet v3_Movie (Wall) (FullFan) & Dribblers_Ultimate Glass_WALL & BG1_Brightly_Dark_WALL and more if I could find some lol.  I have learnt to use Thembgen editor to change some font colours, but is it possible to change the little pic on the right hand side to have the movie poster instead of a scene shot as they don't always happen and you end up with a blank box

Thanks for all the hard work of the makers of these, very appreciated

Hi, im looking for some help with folder positions and backdrops.

I currently have my folders running along the bottom of the screen with the backdrops changing as i change folder. i want to change this to walled folders so say 3 rows of 6 with no backdrop appearing until i actually click on the movie and into the folder.

Any ideas? I done this years ago with my gen1 but i cant for the life of me remember how i done it. Would appreciate some help.

Maybe not exactly what you are looking for but with my Live (original, not the SMP) I press the option button and select list mode.  With no folder sheets generated it will only show you a list of movies with no thumbs and no sheets.  Sheets will show when you click on a folder and enter it.

## Movie sheet modes (only one can be enabled at a time)
## unless you have sheets for each mode you will encounter oddities switching around modes
## AKA this isn't magic
##   Full screen std mode:
config_tool -c MSHEETMODE=std
##   1280x460 (horizontal banner at top) sheet mode:
config_tool -c MSHEETMODE=sheet
##   500x720 (vertical banner on right) wall mode:
config_tool -c MSHEETMODE=wall
This certainly not good.  It says to enable only one and you have all 3 enabled.
STD mode will not show the thumbs at the bottom.  It might be what you are looking for.
Sheet Mode is what you are having now.  Thumbs at the bottom and sheet in the back
Wall mode will give you thumbs on the left and sheet on the right.
Try this:

Make sure you have no folder sheets.

Not sure what version of the firmware you are running but you can do all the settings from the webfrontend and the configurator.....in case you didn't know.

Hi

I know this has probably been asked a lot on here, and there are probably a million threads explaining it, but could someone please point me in the direction as to how you go about getting these movie sheets on your WD box's ?

I've got a mac (doesn't have windows on it tho), so I'm just wondering what software I need to create these, or if there are templates etc that I can just use for the films etc.  What files I need to have for each movie and the best folder structure to use etc.

Happy to look through threads if you can point me in the right direction.

I have a WDTV Live box (not the hub) with a 1tb wd passport plugged into the USB port.  I've also got a 2tb NAS drive plugged into my router and can stream direct from that.

Thanks in advance guys.

I have to say some of the movie sheets shown on this thread are amazing, and I'm very jealous.  I really want to have these for all of my movies.

Cheers.
