Hello,

I've recently bought WD TV and have upgraded the firmware to 1.02.07 almost right away, several things are bothering me and one of them is the rewind/seek to a position not working for many .mkv files!

After pressing the REV or FF button on the remote a message says "The file you are playing doesn't support seek to a position" and I have tested this on several .mkv files.

Also I am using WD TV together with WD My Book Studio Edition @ 320 GB

I *COMPLETELY* agree.  I just went back to an earlier version of the official WDTV firmware (1_01_02) and ALL of the problems that I was having w/playing MKVs (audio out of sync and complete lack of FF/RW capabilities) are now gone.

I did get the error as well twice so far but as it turned out the MKV-header was corrupted and it didn't play on my computer as well...

While I suppose it may be possible that the header on all FIVE of my MKV files are corrupt (they WERE all created using the same MakeMKV program), they all play fine on my PC, and they all play fine under an older rev of the firmware, so in my case I don't think that that's the issue.

I'm not using embedded images.  I was using similar named .jpg files, but now that I've fallen back to a previous firmware that doesn't support these, I'll have to come up with something.

Hello.  Are any of you who are experiencing the seeking problems with mkv files also encountering an error with the video not showing when you switch audio tracks?  I am trying to determine if they are related.

Thanks in advance for any replies.  :)
I reserve the right to ignore you for any reason.
