Yep, I'm using the very same adapter after finishing the install earlier today.

I'm having one problem though, I can't seem to ftp into the unit, is that by design, or a flaw, or just the lack of ftp for the unit?

I have a a few somewhat simple questions. Other than the added networking functionality is there anything that the average user would find useful in this firmware? Do you install this using the normal "official firmware update" method of dropping the files on a thumbdrive?

This seems awesome for those who want networking. Keep up the good work! ;D

As I was saying before, movies seem to play perfectly now.  But I noticed that sometimes the sound keeps going even after I hit stop.  One movie kept playing audio (via optical) even after I turned the box off!  And, when I go to play another movie I often get stuck at the blue spinning wheel.  A hard reset (unplug) fixes all these problems until the next time.  Is it just me or is anybody else seeing the same thing?

Did you enable NTP?

No, I haven't enabled NTP.  Will that will fix it?

No, that is usually the cause of the exact issue you describe. Looks like I have NTP on by default in WDLXTV_G2, where it has to be explicitly enabled as opposed to WDLXTV_Live where you have to explicitly enable it.

Either way, telnet in and execute:
Code: [Select]
config_tool -c NTP=OFF

I'd tried to mount local fs as vfat, ufsd and ext3, but in command line. Then
mount -t vfat -o iocharset=utf8 /dev/sda1 /tmp/media/usb/USB1/752F-8558/
mount -t ufsd -o iocharset=utf8 /dev/sda1 /tmp/media/usb/USB1/9AC85907C858E355
it works.
For ext3 it isn't necessary (file names already are recognized) , but
mount -t ext3 -o iocharse=utf8 /dev/sda1 /tmp/media/usb/USB1/611e76b0-3fe7-4c8
is failed. "Unrecognized mount option "iocharse=utf8""
I can not check remote fs now.
I am not familiar with bash, but here it is necessary a branching for various fs and a case without charset.
Hope of you.  ;)

I can connect my wifi only to open AP without key now. I tried wpa2+aes,
but I got nothing in ifconfig and iwconfig. Only empty parameters. I'll try else.
Telnet,ssh and ftp work perfect!

Must I see a cifs partition in OSD?
mount shows
/dev/sda1 on /tmp/media/usb/USB1/E2C7-336B type vfat (rw,sync,fmask=0022,dmask=0022,codepage=cp437,iocharset=iso8859-1)
\\192.168.1.1\disc0_2 on /tmp/media/usb/DLINK type cifs (rw,mand,unc=\192.168.1.1\disc0_2,username=guest,uid=0,gid=0,rsi
ze=16384,wsize=130048)
\\192.168.1.1\disc0_2 on /tmp/media/usb/USB1/DLINK type cifs (rw,mand,unc=\192.168.1.1\disc0_2,username=guest,uid=0,gid=
0,rsize=16384,wsize=130048)
Now I can't understand the codepage is right. But I suspect it's wrong.

Next. Now my flash-drive has only four files: S00custom-options, net.config, smb.conf, net.mounts. May be in future, can you put those inside wd?  ;)

net.config - need to change #modprobe rt2572 to #modprobe rt2570

Sorry, I see samba folder below USB1 in OSD, but codepage is wrong. I'll understand.
