I have a WDTV v2 with the latest firmware installed.

I am trying to use an 8Gb USB stick with the WDTV. When loaded with avi files and connected to the WDTV videos show in the folder view correctly with file names and sizes. If you try and play any of the files they won't play and are described as being of the wrong format. One of the other views of video files mentions data aggregation problems in a messge at the top of the screen.

The very same files on another USB stick play fine. If the failing stick is swapped from USB1 to USB2 the problem moves with the stick. I've tried formatting it in various ways (FAT, FAT32, NTFS) with the same result. The same stick works absolutely fine in my laptop and desktop PCs and shows similiar read and write times to other USB sticks.

Anyone got an explanation??
