WD will keep releasing these incremental updates, and I'm guessing there will be quite a number of updates in the future. It is completely understandable if lilibabe can't afford to work on updating GUI. It's so much work, and who never tried skinning before, can't really comprehend how much work/free time it requires.

I'd be the happiest person ever to see WD hiring lilibabe to work on skins for WD TV Live. It's very difficult to manage free time and working on something as extensive as this for free. WD should pay lilibabe, and everybody would be happy. As simple as that.

BTW, just a little note to lilibabe. I beleive I found I minor glitch inside Picto III GUI. When copying files from USB key or external drive to another one, text that's sitting underneath the progress bar is cut off at the top. Maybe someone else already noticed it and posted it in this forum. If that's the case, I apologize for re-posting it. Just want to help polish this thing with constructive comment. Nonetheless, great work lilibabe!

Thank you all !

Sorry, there are no plans to update my mods, I don't know if it would work much but when you stop working for several months it's very hard to return to work !  :-\

I don't know if the Hub version would be more useful to me.

Maybe the remote and the UI are better, but I will not buy it just for that !

But if someone wants to do me a Christmas present...  ;D

Hi lilibabe,

Trying out the new WDTV Live firmware from B-Rad based on the new 1.03.49 WD firmware.

So far your Picto II 2x3 OSD seems to work everywhere except when playing back a file, the top options menu appears instantly at playback and never disappears, it also seems to be broken as I can use the arrows to choose an option, but I can never confirm and activate my selection.
So WDTV changed something in the 1.03/1.04 series that makes your OSD a bit incompatible.

As the newer firmwares contain mkv header compression support(no more evil MKV remuxing), fixed the over saturated thumbnail bug as well as fixed the deep color support, amongst other things, I would be sad to loose your gorgeous OSD.

Your GUI is light years away from the stock WDTV one.

As more and more users switch to the newer firmwares from B-Rad to get the long awaited WDTV fixes. They'll be very sad to not be able to use your OSD mods.

I hope you re-consider continuing your work on these OSD mods.

Your OSD mods are GREAT!!!

A huge fan

Thank you Cpuroast !

I didn't even know that a new firmware was released ! In fact, I don't often use the WDTV...

The problem is that I have stopped all this for many months and I lost all the automation, I think I will have to spend hours just to change one little thing !

Unfortunately, the month of January is very busy for me at work...

Hello,

I just changed my WDTV 1gen by a WDTV live... in the 1gen I used the Lilibabe mod, and I liked... now in WDTV Live I have installed the latest firmware (1.04) ...is it possible to install Lilibabe pict with 1.04? Or are they incompatible? I'm not sure about this.

The original appearance of live WDTV operating system is much more ugly than Lilibabe's... Thanks.

Hi Lilibabe, good to see you on here.....

Really think you should consider looking at the Hub....

Both PsychoTHC and juliojs have their themes on the box. It would be nicer to also have yours as well.

Theming is different on the Live Hub as WD gives you the tools to be able to do so, I am sure if you contact Mike he can tell you more.

I'm new here but have been using a Gen 1 WDTV for quite a while. Anyway, I'm looking for some guidance.

I recently purchased a WDTV Live to replace my Gen 1 and I love it! I instantly installed b-rad's WDLXTV-Live firmware which added quite a bit of functionality to the little box (moviesheets, etc.). I then decided to install lilibabe's picto III OSD app.bin which is amazing! I even managed to skin the "plugins" icon thanks to a post on this forum. I have a couple of issues though and I can't seem to figure them out via searching, so I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

First of all, I can't seem to get movie sheets to work with the Picto III OSD - I've seen a few screenshots on here where it seems to work, but I just can't get it going. I've tweaked the S00custom-options file on the root of my USB drive, but no movie sheets. I was able to see them before I installed the OSD, just with WDLXTV installed. Is there something special I need to do to get movie sheets working with the Picto III OSD app.bin?

Thanks for your help.

Perhaps there is an incompatibility between the version of WDLXTV you are using and my the version of my osd mod...

I'm using the latest release of WDLXTV based on the 1.02.21 firmware, and the latest release of Picto III I found on your website.

Is there a particular version od WDLXTV this OSD was tested on where movie sheets worked? Thanks.
