Seems that a thumb only shows if there is a video file (.avi .mkv etc) file in that folder.

For example "USB/folder/subfolder/file.avi" the thumb will only show in the last subfolder.

I created folders: 1:SPORTS 2:MOVIES 3:SERIES
In thoose folders I have subfolders, for example: 1:NBA 2:HULK 3:LOST
And in thoose subfolders, there are the video files.

So I get the thumbs for all the subfolders 1:NBA 2:HULK 3:LOST but no thumbs for rootfolders 1:SPORTS 2:MOVIES 3:SERIES

But when I put a video file in thoose, the thumb work, so isnt it possible to show thumbs without a video file in it?

Thanks

Hi there...
The way I got it working is to place the thumbnail in the folder, and name it:  folder.jpg
However, I found that the WD was not displaying the thumbnail, after doing a "Reset Factory Default" the folder thumbnails started working.
I would assume its something to do with the WD locally Caching the Thumbnail files.
There may be another way to do it, other than Resetting to factory default. Maybe disconnecting the WD's power supply?? Haven't tried that one yet!
Hope that helps!
