I updated my WDTV with official 1.02.06 prerelease firmware yesterday. Upgrade process was successful and I was enable to watch my movies with a new firmware.

I powered off my WDTV last night then I powered on it again on this morning and found that my WDTV was unable to boot.   :'( :'( :'(

Boot logo is shown then screen goes blank and power & usb status is on. I have tried to remove my USB drive and unplug power cord for several times but it's still not work.

Are you using HDMI or composite? Can you try using a different TV?

Don't throw the cable away. There seems to be a problem regarding the hdmi connection to  the WDTV box.
It's either the type of plug used on the cable that causes the problem or the socket on the WDTV box.
Somehow it slightly loosens up (2-3mm) and by pushing it back in you're ok.
It's happened to me several times, so whenever I get a blank screen, I just push the plug in again.

Cheers

I believe this can be wrapped up and closed. Moderators?

status: RESOLVED - Not a bug.

If the length of your HDMI plug from the edge of the plastic jacket to the tip of the plug is less than about 9 mm, it might not make a good connection.
