USB1/USB2 makes the device non intuitive for those that didn't set the device up.
Use volume names so I can make the device easier to use for non tech users by labeling drives.

Or even better just skip separation of USB devices and merge all root folders into one display.

I like this idea, I posted a similar idea regarding condensing the root folders.

The USB1/USB2 is totally unnecessary.

Although I would still like the drive names to appear (I.e. DON'T merge all the root folders). Especially if you have sorted the videos so you have a "Shows drive" and a "Movies drive".

Though, this might complicate things for those who haven't named their drives.

Good Idea,

if users have not names their drives then you can display USB1/USB2 etc

also you could also display the physical and the volume names

eg
VIDEOS (USB1)
MUSIC (USB2)
