TOO FAST SUBTITLES

MKV FILE:Gladiator 1080p i played it with wdtv and the subtitles(internal) we're ok , normal speed but no sound(it had DTS) Then i converted the sound from DTS to AC-3 with a Muxing program.Perfectly worked, but one problem..the subtitles appear and disappear very very fast impossible to read.Maybe extracting the subtitles and use them as external would solve the problem? I also converted other films for example : Up and Terminator Salvation both 1080p and the subtitles were OK after the conversion of the audio part.

Hmm,

I have never heard of the subtitles being effected in this way, but I do not use them often.  Have to see who else weighs in on this issue.  In the meantime you might want to extract them and try that.  Let us know how it works out!

G'day Eric,

I created the same problem using the Handbrake SVN2907 (0.9.4 beta).  Seems to have something to do with the duration timing marks format and the way WDTV interprets.  See http://trac.handbrake.fr/changeset/2917 for a description.  Perhaps the remux is the problem?  What was used to mux the original mkv and the second (ac3) mkv?
