Device Name    Device Model
My Book World Edition (Blue Rings)    WDG1NCxxxxx
My Book World Edition (White Light)    WDH1NCxxxxx

Important:

    * While most NAS drives drives that have either UPnP streaming, or appear as a SAMBA device on your network, will work with the WD TV Live HD Media Player, we have done the majority of our testing using Western Digital NAS drives. As a result we cannot guarantee compatibility with any specific third-party NAS drives.
    * The My Book World (Blue Rings) does not support UPnP Streaming so will only be accessible by the WD TV Live Media Player as a Samba Device. Additionally as the drive was not designed as a media streaming device it may have trouble streaming video or streaming to multiple sources.
    * Western Digital recommends using an "N" class router when streaming wirelessly to the WD TV Live HD Media Player. Playback of video may be unstable when using a "G" class router.

Just an FYI Belkin    F5D8053 v2 is compatible.

I bought this on ebay not realizing it was not on the compatible list.

When I first plugged it in, it saw it but it could not connect.

I attached it to my laptop downloaded new drivers, (BTW I have a Belkin N+ router v2)

Not sure if it did anything to the router or the usb stick, as there were no firmware updates.

Just for fun, plugged it back into wdtv-live and presto, works great so far.

My simple, basic DLink DIR 100 (V 1.12) wired router works fine with my iMac white and my WD TV Live.  :)

Next time i should pay more attention in the list of compatible adapters that was not describing the V2 specifically as tested .....

Belkin    F5D8053 V6000                DOES NOT WORK !!!

Just giving you a warning this version uses realtek 8191 drivers ,and is not supported.
There were some people compiling this drivers for the source but unsuccessfully yet.

Got something proven supported WUSB600N and works fine from the get go.

Does anyone know how to make (or if there are any compatible) USB hub to work?  I have a 500 GB drive and a 1TB drive that i want to plug into a hub, then into the WDTV (so that as I get more drives, I can keep plugging them into the hub).

I use a D-link wireless router (Dir-600) and a usb adaptor D-link (DWA-125).
Works great, the USB adaptor is on the WD compatible list.
Because it`s our web !

I bought a wifi dongle on ebay from ExpressBuddy in the States, delivered to my door for the grand total of 8.

It is the tiniest dongle I've seen and it works perfectly - happily streaming video from a WD Passport plugged into my desktop in one room across to my WDTV Live in the living room. ;D

Search on ebay for the seller ExpressBuddy and you should find it...

cheers.

Can you post the make/model and possibly the chipset of the dongle ?
