So I had the WD HD Tv, Friend offered to buy it fro me.  So I was thinking Hey I can just go down to Best Buy or someplace and presto buy one of the new units.  I was WRONG, They are sold out, not sure when they are getting one.   I checked online with Amazon, They have a 1 to 2 month wait, Newegg.com - they are sold out.   What is this?  Everyone wants this?   Damn, I Knew it would be a HOT item, but not this hot.

Was their a Recall, I checked all the best buys in the area, and also in a 100 mile radius, and theirs quite a few, all of them are out except for 1 place. and its over 1 1/2 hours away.

I think it's just a supply and demand thing, the original WDTV was very successful and the updated version is in high demand.   I bought the last one from my Best buy store the day it was released.

or not successful.

so the predecessor will eventually a better one. anyone who knew wdtv first generation was not good enough but still want to buy it will eventually waiting for the second generation. so it's make sense that it would be "Hot item"
