feature request.

It would be great if one could switch between list view and thumbnail view WHILE navigating folders (so without going to the Main menu > Settings).

I'm totally with you on that one.
There are some things that prevent me from using thumbnail view right now.

Or better yet: Some kind of HYBRID view.

Means: Movies or TV SHOWS with an associated thumbnail are shown WITH a thumbnail, files without existing thumbs are shown with their filenames in list view.
First the ones with tumbs in it in alphabetical order followed from the ones without thumbnails...

I'm quite surprised that I haven't read anything about thumbnail view problems. Do you guys use THUMBS for every single movie file on the WD?

and without saving status to flash memory tempovery switching status

I will use fast swtiching between modes very often I dont want kill flash memory in WDTV

I'm not in favor of the hybrid idea.

Plus, this feature is about fast switching of view modes during folder navigation, not about defining OTHER view modes. I recommend you create separate issue, if you feel strongly about that. Only that way, we can track issues clearly.
