A surprise new update.  I will be curious to see how the MKV lip sync works now.

Post all your comments and findings here!

:)

WDTV LIVE with current official FW > HDMI > DVDO > Sony CRT Projector 150" 16/9 screen.  Toslink audio to Yamaha DTS receiver. No Network set up yet.

I don't see any major improvement that worth the 1.03... :'(
I don't think I'll upgrade. :-\

Adding menu support to ISO's or new language srt support that's worth new digit ::)

I really wish they'd add movie sheet support.  Will test this one out tomorrow.

Yes, not really big changes since the last beta, and it's still a beta !

Still no file manager and preview browser implemented... xml/gfx files are the same as v.1.02.11.

But 1.03.01 is a good number because it's symmetrical  ::)

    * Added support for video playlists functions which were limited to music files only

Does this now mean that we can 'shuffle play' videos, and if so, how? I've update mine but it doesn't seem to give the shuffle option ?

Thanks

That feature was not added. Which is why you can't find it.

The playlist for videos doesn't seem to have a the shuffle function, it will simply play the videos in the order they are in the playlist.

Of course since you can add videos from different directories it may still have some use.
If you think there is something wrong with your WD device contact them and then act upon that: Either wait or move on - don't whine here - this is not WD's board. If you have a problem, start a thread and ask - perhaps someone knows the answer.

The interface still freezes after playback of some wmv's - like a garbage collection which gets stuck...

My fresh Kingston G2 16 GB not working on 1.03.01 firmware. After scanning files freezes and not responding to remote. With ver. 1.02.07 no problem.

Does this include the DVD Menu Support?

I'm hearing they won't add it because it would incur a licensing fee to the DVD group.  But if it was in a pre-release and not in the official verion.... hmmm

Anyone homebrew up some DVD Menu - please (support for Iso or Vob)
