Hi pibos,

I know it's not the right section but have you abandoned WDTVExt project ? Version 0.8 was promised for some time...
If you appreciate my work and want to contribute, feel free to donate at http://wdtv.free.fr/

Dumping of the firmware is not quite as simple as the original WDTV...I believe the structure is quite different. I am working on it.

Hi b-rad,

Is this pkg usable for any purpose mate? http://cache.websupport.wdc.com/wdtvlive/wdtvlive_1.01.00.pkg

;D haha thats like a puzzle wrapped in an enigma. From that single file there is quite a lot of goodies to be pulled out. I was right for the most part, but i'm still piecing together a few things,

I can see lots of filenames I didn't see before and I can also see a possible checksum at the top of this file.
Is there a better binary diff program?

Edit: nevermind! on brad's site there is custom firmware. Blech rapidshare.
