I use D-Link DWA-140 Rangebooster N USB Adapter. I've only had my WD TV Live for a week, but the DWA-140 has worked like a charm so far.

I almost got the DWA-140 I found it refurbished for like $14 + 9 S&H but I took the time to price search all the items on the offically supported WD list and found an even better deal.  The Planex GW-USMINI2N is only $9.99 + $6.50 S&H brand new.  So thats what I got.  Have not tried it out yet, nor got my WD TV Live unit yet both are due in soon.

There are lots of adapters not on the official list that work.  I would hope we can start a thread that says "current wd tv live usb wireless adapter deals" so we can post current deals on units we know work to assist people in finding a great buy and not over paying.  Some of these adapters are $100+ and wont perform any better than one that cost $20, knowledge is truly power in this kind of situation.

Edit: link for the one I bought - http://www.ecost.com/Detail.aspx?edp=43041945&navid=155441519

I used bing cashback too so got another $0.20 off :D for a deal hunter every penny counts.

I have a WDTV Live, Airlink+ 802.11g wireless router (cheap).
Bought and tried the Zoom USB Wireless-N adapter today (150Mbps max, supports 802.11b,g,n) (Fry's $13.99 with instant in-store rebate);
The box says : 'Model 4411'.
It worked like a charm with the Airlink+ router.
No issues found. It found the PC shares without a hitch, I just had to wait ~ 60 secs for it to happen after selecting the shares icon.
I played a bunch of Matroska files from a plain share on WinXP PC, super-smooth, no hiccups. (USB attached plays fine by default, duh).
Youtube works fine, no choppiness.
Just thought i'd let y'all know about a working and kinda cheap adapter.

I'm using NETGEAR WN111 Rangemax wireless usb adapter and it works flawlessly with firmware higher than 1.01.17.
I tested it with 1.02.21 and 1.03.22 and it works OK.

I am about to purchase the TP-LINK TL-WN821N

Just out of curiousity, how did you knows support for this device exists? I cannot find it in any documents or articles published except for here.

A little late maybe but just for the record TP-LINK TL-WN821N is a device recognized in WDC's support site. I just bought one yesterday (v2) and it works fine for music; video from my Windows xp machine will stop BUT consider that I have a poor old Zxyel B router 54MBPS wifi...  So it's quite logic.

Anyone can recommend an affordable N router to upgrade my zyxel (which I love because it does ADSL modem functions too)? I seen the airlink recommendation.  I saw an AR675W around so I might go for that. Anyway, options are appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, I'm using the D-Link DWA-160 Xtreme Wireless N Duo Adapter - 300Mbps, 802.11n (Draft N) USB 2.0 with the Linksys WRT160N Ultra RangePlus Wireless N Router - 300Mbps, 802.11n, 4-Port and work very well . I can watch movies at 1080p without problems. I'm reading a WD 2TB NAS Ethernet connected to the same Router.

Regards from Chile..!!

I bought the TP-Link TL-WN821N Ver 2.8 and it DOES NOT WORK, it seems that previous versions work allright (up to ver 2.2) but ver 2.8 doesn't work so be careful, maybe when the drivers get updated in the next firmware it will work!

I have a WDTV Gen2 and the 0.4.3.2 FW of B-Rad.cc

I have a Netgear WN111 and it does NOT work
with my two WDTV Live Pluses with firmware 1.03.29_B.  I've seen reports of success with this one, but it doesn't work for me.  If anyone has ideas on how to get this to work, please let me know.  Maybe it's the firmware or the revision of the adapter?  Mine doesn't show any revision number so I believe it is a v1.

You must have the wrong set up because I am sat in front of my WDTVlive streaming from my TL-WN821N Ver 2.8 and it absolutley IS working.

I had to manually create the SSID connection and chose encryption type - dont go the automatic route or you'll be stuffed.
