I very much would promote that the WD team should concentrate also on DVB-T and DVB-S standards. On the other hand there are many lousy STBs on the market. The way and result of the recording is many times a proprietary solution deviating from standard, which can not be replayd with some other device. Also their ability to detect, record and replay DVB subtitles is varying a lot. A recording, which is according to the standard or close enough can be played at least with DVBViewer, VLC and the most recent version of DivX Player. These all can recognize the subtitle streams also and enable the selecting of different subtitles or switching subtitles totally off.

I have recorded DVB-T programs with the DVBViewer and USB tuner and the WDHD is able to play the recorded video and audio streams but does not detect the subtitle streams or the teletext streams at all.

DVB-T TS recorded with STB won't play on WD TV,
Code: [Select]
Format profile                   : No PAT/PMT

TS-Files without PAT/PMT-Information wouldn´t play by the WD (and many many other Media-Players with TS-Support). "projectX" might be able to correct the TS-Stream ;-).

(Sorry for terrible english).
