Update 2009.10.22 : updated to fw 1.03.01

Update 2009.10.20 : French version added

Update 2009.10.19 : small changes
- list mode a little bit more sexy
- alt. version with VIDEOS instead of MOVIES

MINIMALISTIC : a fresh new UI for your WDTV

MINIMALISTIC is a new skin for your WDTV, very simple in its design, as its name says.

Here are some particularities of this OSD mod :

  - fast navigation through the screens (in fact, not so sure !)
  - energy efficient (many black gfx)
  - LCD and plasma TVs lifetime increased (for the same reason as above)
  - improved for users having poor eyesight (big characters but not all !)

Like many graphics are text, the mod will be released only in English and French.

Preview video (the colors aren't faithful and sorry for the dust !) : Minimalistic WDTV osd mod preview
Final release : http://wdtv.free.fr/

Known problems :

- vertical and horizontal scrollings in the main screen aren't always smooth => upgrade to C2Q
- difficult to know which usb device is selected when ejecting because there's no select frame => see the caption at the bottom
- for the same reason, difficult to know which usb device is selected when media library is OFF => we must try to chance

It's all about the polygon count!
I cant miss this! Hoping that it's fast navigated, all current themes are pretty slow when you browse around in the WDTV :(

EDIT: THANK YOU!

Here you can watch a video preview of my mod in action (see 1st post). Sorry for the quality (taken by my digital camera : grey is blue, autofocus was'nt accurate,...) !

As you can see, there's a problem with the vertical menu : selected item isn't visible item ! for now, i didn't find the solution... Scrolling is also jerky whereas sometimes it's ok ! Maybe too big gfx...

PS : music playback wasn't skinned for now.

@beanian : so, police will be played during navigation through the screens  ;)

@pupiponis : maybe for christmas  ;) Given the size of the items, it will require some very short names !

@andylee : even if my gfx are lightweight, in fact i don't see a difference in navigation, i think the cpu is very limited...

@ToJa92 : maybe in 2 weeks
