I've updated to WDLXTV 0.4.2 and have HaneWin NFS server installed on a Vista machine. Firewall disabled.

Browsing on the WDTV is working fine, I can see my movies on the NFS share. BUT, when I press play, it takes ~15 seconds and then the message "Unable to play...etc" appears.

Messages.txt:
Apr  7 19:51:54 (none) user.notice kernel: nfs: server 192.168.2.100 not responding, timed out
Apr  7 19:52:04 (none) user.notice kernel: nfs: server 192.168.2.100 not responding, timed out
Apr  7 19:52:15 (none) user.notice kernel: nfs: server 192.168.2.100 not responding, timed out
Apr  7 19:52:25 (none) user.notice kernel: nfs: server 192.168.2.100 not responding, timed out
Apr  7 19:52:36 (none) user.notice kernel: nfs: server 192.168.2.100 not responding, timed out

When executing "time cat some_movie > /dev/null" it says "cat: read error: Input/output error".

Settings of HaneWin NFS:
Exports file:
d:\pjoeter -name:pjoeter -ro -range 192.168.2.1 192.168.2.255

Driving me mad!

Exactly the same here.

Tried WDLXTV and ext3-boot. But if i try a other linux computer, the same nfs share works well.

Server is a Debian Etch with exports: /share 192.168.0.0/255.255.0.0(async,no_subtree_check,ro)

On the WD TV side there is a Belkin USB Ethernet Device (F5D5055ED).

With sama shares and ext3-boot, everythinkg works well. Seems there is a problem with nfs and the WD TV - maybe the Beklin adapter.
In a other post someboys had also timeout problems and disabled the jumbo frame feature. AFAIK its a MTU greater 1500.

Any suggestions?

Kind regards,

Marco

For some reason, the error disappeared when adding the options "rsize=32768,tcp" to the xmount command...

Let me know if this works in your case.

Yes, the tcp works for me too. Wrote it here in the form yesterday.
