Sorry if I have missed this but...

after first look and reading some of the pages of this thread (Would be great to have a serach option per thread) I love this firmware and will definitely try this if...  :)

Is this firmware based on the WDTVLX firmware in order to allow me to have network?
Is it possible to have TVIXI or movie sheet generator support?

Again sorry if I have overread something or missunderstood.

What I definitely like is the abillity to have it stored on the WD rather than havin it on a usb stick.

Regards from Germany

Michael

As mentioned in the first post, this mod is available as fw replacement OR as add-on for WDLXTV or ext3-boot => so choose 2nd version (lilibabe.osd.bin).

Then you can use movie sheets and so on, most of the apps will work... but in this case my mod won't be flashed into the memory of the wdtv (only available for wdtv.bin version).

Wow that was fast.

Thanks for the answer. I wasn't sure if this is somehow colliding with WDTVLX.

I will try and give feedback.

Depending on the WDLXTV version you use, maybe it doesn't work (reported by users).

There was a problem with v.0.5.6.1/2 but it works with the previous version. Don't know for 0.5.7 (no feedback).

Now my WDHDTV player begins to flip out for real acting real crazy.
Sometimes NO HDMI signal gets out, then i must unplug the USB HDD, insert the USB stick to boot from the it and FW update again.
And i must unplug the power cord for it does not go off with the remote after this crazy behavor.

Just as the root/bin on the player's memory is fuckedupp for real now?
Anyone else having similar problems, i have a Samsung 40 LCD TV?

I don't have the same problems but I actually found that my WDTV behaves more and more strange at times... I don't know if it's in relationship with flashing the memory... but there's a 2 years warranty and it's mentioned nowhere on the packaging that it's not allowed to flash memory !!

It must be the FW and it is becaouse it works greate with FW "07" 1.02.07_B-RAD.CC_WDLXTV-0.5.3 works perfect every problem is gone.
Maybe WD but somthing in to do this things with MOD FW, i dont know

I have a quest for B-RAD cant you do a 1.02.07 with latest WDLXTV, just becaouse .07 is the best so far of all FW

Big

- Thumbnails view : 1x3 in video mode, 2x5 in music/picture mode.
- Thumbnails size : 324x432px in video mode, 200x200px in music/picture mode, 280x280px for album art in music playback.
- List view : 10 items displayed.

How do i choose this one? ive installed the new firmware : osdmod_v2 [1.02.11]/
or do i have to install B-RADs?

Sometimes i have the video file with small squares like 10-20. didnt happen before. it goes away but after comes back, just happens max 3 times ( tested 1080p)

star wars clone wars, and it only happened once.

Thanks

Also any chance chance to see 2 x 4 thumbnails? big images easy to read and you can see the next set easily?
or can anyone point me to where i can change this, and il do it myself? dont want to disturb Mr LiliBabe, got his hands full. But thanks for this OSD :D

Very much appreciated.

@pege63 : sorry, I can respond to your request (too much versions to deal with)  ::) But you can modify yourself the fw 1.02.07, there are explanations a few pages back.

In brief, mounting original 1.02.07 fw, mounting my osd mod, copying osd directory from my mod to original fw, recreating fw.

Big thumbnails are only for v1 of my mod (both wdtv.bin and osd.bin versions).

For the squares, don't know, but certainly not due to my mod (maybe 1.02.11 bug...).

For 2x4 layout, you have to modify xml file (inc_video_thumb_browse.xml) in .bin file.

Hi Mr lilibabe,

Thanks for the help, but how do i open the .bin file??? i tried daemon tools, magic iso, winrar and i cant seem to open the file, in every program it says "Invalid, damaged".

Thanks
Also once i get into the XML, i presume its simple and says something like thumbnails?  ??? Also, when ive saved the bin file, do i just plug it in and it will say, do you want to update? or will i have to reflash it with the another FW and then use this one? please make my life simple :)

Thank You.

Also i would love to see in the next update, in system settings and having a option to change thumbnails automatically, will make me very happy but loads of other people too, who like different thumbs. :D

Thanks

.bin file must be opened with a linux os (i'm using ubuntu with virtualbox under win xp) => search the forum for "how to"

xml files are easy to modify but not as much as you describe ! there's several parameters to modify...

option to change thumbnails automatically => i think it's possible with WDLXTV (not with only my mod)

Ubuntu or another linux os, but it's essential if you want to manipulate the .bin file (i think there's another possibility using windows xp but much less easy.
