Could you give me a push in the right direction where to look for a how-to edit a .bin file.

Here are the steps for the osd.bin file (cramfs) :

- mount -t cramfs lilibabe.osd.bin /destination_dir/ -o loop
- then replace the file i_don't_remember_its_name.png (i think it's welcome_background_something.png) by your own wallpaper (renamed as the replaced file) in the directory /destination_dir/osd/image
- then recreate the osd.bin : mkcramfs /destination_dir/ lilibabe.osd.bin

That's all !

PS : i don't know if you have to recreate the md5sum for the file modified. Maybe try to delete its reference in the file md5sum.txt

@ lilibabe

Please upload your screenshots to another image hoster because www.zimagez.com seems to be crap!
The images don't load VERY OFTEN.

Salut Fredouye !

Well, it seems that this bar poses many problems ! I will try to make it bigger...

For the capture, it isn't really a screenshot but rather an illustration in photoshop !

Strange... have you verified the file wdtv.ver ? open it with your favorite text editor (who said notepad ?  :D) and verify it is mentioned 1.02.11 or something else > 1.02.10

Yes, modify '1.02.10'. Version number must be higher than this, so for example '1.02.11' ; save the changed file and reboot !

Next time, i will also try to post just one version and, with a script (thanks to hnadov2k9), you can create your own version (language, normal or big thimbnails, etc.).

But i don't want to spend too much time on this.

What would be great is a mega script that ask the user for tons of parameters (language, graphics, etc.) and then create a custom wdtv.bin or osd.bin ; all this with a nice ui of course !  ;)

But stop dreaming...
