The home.xml files are different. Some other app must have preventing your app to change the home.xml. Or maybe after your app changes the home.xml file the other app revert home.xml back to original.

This is because the welcome..._bg.png and the home_left.png files are not displayed. Because they are not in the home.xml.

I copied the home.xml file of your app to wdlxtv firmware and rebooted but no difference. Now I will copy the home.xml file to LaurentG's app to see if it helps.

Why not using Zorander's fw so ? Try to ask b-rad why it is like that...

Turkish osd.bin and wdtv.bin (with a Z for Müzik) : upload in progress...

I used your app with ext3-boot but no success. It did not work. So I changed my firmware to WDLXTV just to use your app.
---------------------------------------
It seems that LaurentG's app prevents the use of your home.xml. I copied home.xml in your app to laurentG's app and now it seems that proper home.xml is working. But I cannot check the screen because I am at work now. I will check and report in the evening (6 hrs. later).

Ok, I will create a osd.bin file with ext3 format instead of cramfs, maybe it will change something...

Try this : http://wdtv.free.fr/dl/lilibabe.osd.bin (I hope my ext3 .bin iscorrect, I followed the instructions on another site)

But what diferences have this with the first version?

I have the first version in spanish and i dont see changes, only the translations(VÍDEOS)

I never said that there was a 2nd version ! It's just adjustments in different languages (translations) and big thumbnails as requested (1x3 inste

Ok ;)

One question: Only can be unpacked and packet in Linux or in Windows too?

If in Windows can, witch programs are necesary

For my part, I use virtualbox (ubuntu as guest with xp as host).

think you can do something in xp but it is more complicated ! (cygwin -> http://wiki.wdtv.org/doku.php?id=setting_up_the_environment_for_compiling&s[]=cygwin)

But u can make in ubuntu something like a "PREVIEW" or u must copy all to WD to test?(I'm refering visual aspect)

Thx for help   :)

2nd solution ! For my "screenshots", I made a "grid" in photoshop based on xml files.

What do u refer with grid?

For example, in the xml file, if a picture is placed like this : x=100 y=200 w=250 h=150, I put markers in photoshop (horizontal=200, vertical=100, size=250x150) and so on...

Hi lilibabe.
Thanks for your app. After I copied the home.xml to both wdlxtv.bin and LaurentG.app.bin everything is working very good now. Thank you.

Probably LaurentG.app starts later than your app and it changes the home.xml file with the one it includes (which is the original file in the LaurentG.app.bin /osd folder). After I changed the LaurentG's home.xml file with the one in your app then it is ok now.

Ok, so it seems it's more a problem with LaurentG.app.bin rather than a problem with WDLXTV.

If you use my mod only with the b-rad's fw it must operate without problem.

Did you test with the cramfs or the ext3 .bin ?

Hi lilibabe.
Thanks for your app. After I copied the home.xml to both wdlxtv.bin and LaurentG.app.bin everything is working very good now. Thank you.

I'm using LaurentG's app.bin. Can you share more details on how to make it work with lilibabe's app?  How do you copy the home.xml to bin file? ???

I'm using LaurentG's app.bin. Can you share more details on how to make it work with lilibabe's app?  How do you copy the home.xml to bin file? ???

Lets start.

Go to the /tmp directory

Code: [Select]
cd /tmp
Create 2 folders. One for LaurentG.app.bin and the other is for lilibabe.osd.bin. The folder names does not matter.

Code: [Select]
mkdir appp1
mkdir appp2

Lets mount the LaurentG.app.bin to the appp1 and lilibabe.osd.bin to the appp2.

This is for WDLXTV
Code: [Select]
mount -o loop /boot/mnt/LaurentG.app.bin appp1/
mount -o loop /boot/mnt/lilibabe.osd.bin appp2/

This is for ext3-boot
Code: [Select]
mount -o loop /boot/LaurentG.app.bin appp1/
mount -o loop /boot/lilibabe.osd.bin appp2/

Lets copy the home.xml from lilibabe.osd.bin to LaurentG.app.bin

Code: [Select]
cp appp2/home.xml appp1/osd/home.xml
If you get no errors it means everything is ok. Now unmount the apps.

Code: [Select]
umount appp1/
umount appp2/

Lets remove the folders we created.

Code: [Select]
rmdir appp*
Reboot and welcome to the new world.

Code: [Select]
reboot
