I am using WDLXTV 5.8.1 with my USB Ethernet adapter, very well. Now I bought TP-Link TL-WN821N wireless adapter and try to setup wireless connection to WDTV Gen1. I followed the step:
1. Downloaded and put to USB stick.
2. Use telnet to add lines into /conf/net.config file, I added 2 lines:
ifconfig $MDEV up
iwconfig $MDEV essid MyHome

I disabled wireless security on my router for testing.

3. Disconnect power cord and install wireless adapter.
4. Power back on and after a while, ip:no ip displayed.

Did I miss something? Or my wireless USB adapter isn't supported?

I have the same question.

But, I use Zorander's (ver 0.3), thought it will support Atheros Otos driver. ???

TL-WN821N should be this:
Bus 001 Device 005: ID 0cf3:9170 Atheros Communications, Inc.

I dont know that is or not "Otus“, it just doesnt work.

my config:

ifconfig $MDEV up
wpa_supplicant -Bw -Dotus -i$MDEV -c/tmp/mnt/wpa_supplicant.conf
Heard that WDTV Live support TL-WN821N now, hope it will work in WDTV gen 1 soon. ::)

Or we try to compile our own Linux for WDTV?
