I have been given a WDTV which is a few years old & I have been reading about it.  I will be using it mainly with a Passport drive plugged in so that I can show the grand kids movies.  I see that If I put both a video & a thumbnail into a folder that the device can display the picture so as to making the selection easier.

What isn't clear is if you has say 50 videos for which you had 50 thumbnails whether or not each has to be a unique folder with just 1 video & 1 thumbnail in each.  It makes a big difference if you have to create 50 folders or if 1 common one will do.

Thanks in advance

I believe it can all be in the same folder but each thumb has to be named same as the movie.  It is easier to have each movie in their own folder.  You can use "file2folder" to easily create a folder for each movie.
