I run WDTV on a WD hard-wired LAN connected to a Windows 10 PC with 12 Tb of external storage. I have had the device for two or three years now. Usually, all is well, if, at times, quirky, but recently the WDTV has taken to crashing, not responding to the remote-control and freezing the TV display. At these times my network monitor does not see the WDTV.
Is there anything I can do about this, or is it just old-age - the WDTV, not me.

Any help would be very gratefully received, especially if it resolves the problem.

I've a very similar issue (WD TV for several years, lot of crashes since upgraded to Windows 10). I can took the following options (without fixing my issues):
* disable upnp port forwarding on my router
* disable media sharing on Windows 10
* factory reset WD TV

It is frequent, but not systematic. I've the same interogation that raphholmes: are WD TV live too old ?

Anyone else having the same issue ?
