Hy,

I have a NAS installed.
I use the wd with network shares. All works well, but when I go into the zyxel public folders to set permissions (only set admin to read/write and the others to only read) the folders don't show up anymore in my shares with the WD...

How is this?

I want to set it so that only I (as admin) can delete files from certain media folders...

sounds like a permissions issue on your NAS.
You laugh because Iím different, I laugh because youíre all the same.

I tryed all sorts of settings but nothing works.
BUT if I choose media server, the folder with read only permissions do appear... They just don't appear on the wd in network shares...

Is your WDTV set as member of the workgroup?
Assuming you're using Windows.

My WD is memeber of the workgroup and so is my NAS.

Is there a way to get the user/password login screen on the wd when I choose network shares, cause now it just connects. (I think as guest?)
