Hello,
i have a problem with my WD TV player. It doesnt play the most off mkv files,... or never films i download to view.
I have the latest firmware upgrade that is on WDTV site,...
I downloaded the Penthouse open GPL code, but i dont know how to install it on my player.
Could someone be so nice and help me.

No need to install the GPL software, stay with the regular firmware and check your files with Mediainfo for compliance with the specs mentioned in the PDF manual.

some knows where i can find the factory firmware to make downgrande?

Try this custom firmware from here -> http://wdhd.ru/board/index.php?a=vtopic&t=1885
It can play all mkv files. At least haven't found till now some mkv which can't play. Old b'rads firmware is very old and is not playing a lot of files.
