Dear all,

at first, I want to say sorry.
I am a german guy and my english is not very good.
so please have a little bear with me.

I have buy me an WD TV Live, and I have seen there gives a alternativ firmeware (WDLXTV), but it is not for the 3 gen.
I have found in a forum a message to get a other firmware on the 3 gen.

I have downgrade my original firmeware and have done all steps so I can use the alternative firmware.
However the WD TV Live boot this Firmeware only from a USB device.
That is not a flash version.
After booting the WD TV Live it use the new firmware, have look and seen that in the options.

Here is the link to the Webside where I have found it: http://forum.wdlxtv.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=7663&start=0&hilit=gen3

But I donīt see any differences to the original firmeware.
The home screen and all other screens are the same as befor.

so my questions.

what brings me the alternative firmware?
what I can do with them?

as second:
I have an Sat-receiver (Coolstream with neutrino) he make an xupnpd server (IPTV)
So I can look TV on all upnp-players, but it donīt work with the WD TV Live streaming player. In the description on the xupnp homepage there is a list with all testet upnp player, the WD TV is on this list.

The failure:
When I have start any IPTV channel the WD TV Live shows only the load circle, and nothing will happen.
I have wait a long time in the hope, that he play it some day.
I think the stream is a .ts format
Here is the webside: http://xupnpd.org/t/#.U1AVDFc_jBo
I Have tested the xupnpd on my Smart TV and the PS3 there will works great.
So I think the problem is to search by the WD TV Live.

Maybe anyone from you have a good tipp to get the progress to run.

Thank for all your help, and any news.
I hope you can read my englissh as well.

Thanks for your support
