Hello,
i bought a Level one WUA-0605 wifi adapter but the my WD live media player don't recognize it (i cannot see at Network setup the Wired/Wireless option). I saw at Level's one datasheet that it has a RTL8192CU processor.
Has anyone built a custom firmware for this chipset for WD LIVE that worked?

The 8192 chipset is listed in a list with adapters for WD media player but not at the certified part (don't know why they put it in such a list if it doesn't work!!!)
https://wikidevi.com/wiki/WDTV_Live_Supported_Adapters

How can i be sure that the config file is read at startup or ignored? (the Level One 605 don't have a led on it, but if i connect it to my PC is working fine). Is there a way to make it write a log file at startup to watch the startup process?

Is the net.config file enough (i've put it to root directory of the usb stick with the other files of the firmware and flash it) or i need other files too?

p.s. i have the 1.05.04_V-WDLXTV-Live-0.5.1.1 firmware on my device.

thanks

like I said on the other site, nobody can add devices but WD.
you need to get one that's on the officially supported list at the official site.

Code: [Select]
https://wdc.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3805/#wireless
if it's not on there, it wont work and nobody but WD can make it work and they have abandoned this player.
You laugh because Iím different, I laugh because youíre all the same.
