Hello,
I have 3 WDTV LIVE PLUS players and have been unable to successfully play HD MKV videos. They play with a sputter and the audio is out of sync. I first utilized Windows media player with special codecs successfully, but that didn't last long before breaking. I now run TVersity Ver. 2.2 on my Windows 7 PC and my WDTVPLUS is on Firmware: 1.06.16_B. Am I doing something wrong here? Standard definition files seem to play fine.

Specs:
Windows 7 Premium
WDTV PLUS Live Firm: 1.06.16_B
TVersity 2.2
GB Netgear switch
Cat 5e Cabling

With a custom firmware you could xmount the files and use NFS to stream them.  Works flawlesly.
