In a previous version of the WDTV Live Hub firmware, file order was based on the name of the file itself, rather than the name of the movie as per the XML file. If this was reinstated as an option, it would address a couple of issues - people could name the file to avoid "The", "A" and "An" and have them ordered accordingly, and in folders devoted to a particular movie franchise, a number could be added at the start so that they can be listed in chronological order rather than alphabetical.

I realise a similar effect can be gained by turning the media library off, but that causes other problems, particularly when it comes to accessing other drives. I have a 2tb drive permanently attached to my Live Hub, choosing between it and the device's own hard drive becomes a pain with the library turned off.
