Does anybody know what native fixed pixel size the WDTV uses for its thumbnail view.

If we know the exactly pixel resolution we can resize our own thumbnails and they should load quicker as the wdtv wont have to resize them.

Maybe we could start a repository of thumbnails for our MKV's.  ;D

So far I have been using the freeware application below to resize dvd covers found using google image search

http://www.fookes.com/ezthumbs/index.php?3.0

On the standard thumbnail auto setting this makes most of the thumbnails smaller than 10k each and they load quick  :)

Now all I need is the pixel size used by the WDTV firmware, firmware hackers can you tell me.

Thanks in advance.

Great topic and a good idea.  Once we know a correct size for the thumbnails I will start a poster thread and sticky it!

WDTV LIVE with current official FW > HDMI > DVDO > Sony CRT Projector 150" 16/9 screen.  Toslink audio to Yamaha DTS receiver. No Network set up yet.

When you say "Other" is that for Folder sizes? And does the folder.jpg matter if the f is capital or not?

Answer myself. Small f is fine and folders should be same as movies 120 * 180. Presume 140 * 140 would be album covers as they are square.
