I have the WDTV Live (non-Plus) directly connected (wired Ethernet) to my router, Linksys WRT-610N. The external hard drive is also connected directly connected (wired USB) to the router via the USB port on the back of the router. I have no issues playing 720p videos and also some 1080p videos. The stuttering is occurring when trying to play 3D video (half Top and Bottom). What is the max bitrate that USB connection should be able to handle? I thought that the USB throughput should be able to handle this but it doesn't seem so.  ???
