Post by: Biff- on October 08, 2016, 04:53:52 AM
How to find out which model I have? The WDTV player is bought in April 2014

What is the answer of the question: HDMI is a type of...?

What is the newest update for that model? Where could I find it?

Model number is on the bottom.

I think HDMI is "cable"

Firmware updates are usually at WDC.com...just google the model number.

Thank you very much.

I am not where the WD TV is at the moment, but the package shows: "Model: WDBGXT0000NBK-EESN". So I guess this should be the right number.

Yes, I had thought so either, but it didn't work.

Yes, I had found that page, e.g. this one - http://support.wdc.com/downloads.aspx?DL - but I cannot find the model of 2014. There seems to be one model only. No model numbers shown / models.
And using my old links or the model number (Google) show "Page not found".

I yesterday have installed this update (I have found on my disk (about 2 years old) yesterday:
wdtvmediaplayer_1.03.07.zip
It seems to work, no error message.

This update - wdtvlivegen3_2.01.86.zip - from here - http://support.wdc.com/downloads.aspx?g=1015&lang=en#firmware - appears to be for the newest model only, or might it work with my old one?

Many thanks again.
