Title: An answer from a WD engineer about 24 Bit audio via the various outputs
Post by: mkh1099 on April 18, 2012, 08:38:51 AM
"Here are the sample bit rates for you with the WDTV HD media player WDBAAN series

Analog: 2 channel 44.1kHz

HDMI: up to 7.1 channels, 24 bit: 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 96kHz, and 192kHz

SPIDIF Optical: up to 5.1 channels, 24 bit: 44.1kHz, 48kHz, and 96kHz"

- My 88.2 kHz FLAC files won't play at all.
- My 192 kHz FLAC files play through S/PDIF, but I assume they are downsampled, (I don't know to which frequency)
